PAD’s has links with different International organizations
PAD is member of World Federation of the Deaf (WFD), Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD), and Disabled People International (DPI). Besides these organizations we also share information with International Deaf Children Society (IDCS) and Deaf Friends International (DFI).

stimg_40_104The “Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability” (APCD) Project is a technical cooperation project between the Government of Japan and the Government of Thailand, which is started in Bangkok on 1 August 2002.
The Overall goal of the project is to promote the empowerment of people with disabilities and provide a barrier-free society in developing countries in the Asia and Pacific Region.


stimg_40_105PAD has also joined hands with Disabled People International (DPI) through DPIP, we believe that if all Persons with Disabilities join hands and help each other, we can achieve the goals faster and with more ease. We at PAD are supporting DPIP / DPI for the cause!


stimg_40_Deaf Friends International, Ohio – USA. was a paper magazine of the deaf, encouraging deaf youth and adults to express themselves and make friendship with deaf and non-deaf people from all over the world. Assistant Director of DFI is also our volunteer member and eager to Promote LOVE, PEACE and FRIENDSHIP.

Sign Language Committee

PAD promotes the natural language of the deaf (Sign Language). Sign language committee at PAD has been working since many years and has published 5 books on Pakistan.Sign Language. PAD has also developed a CD on Pakistan Sign Language in collaboration with IUCN/SDNPK

Public Awaraness Programs

PAD not only organizes different social events for public awareness, but also arranges seminars and programs for the cause. So far we have arranged walks on the Rights of persons with disabilities, seminar on Right of access to information, Right of driving and also celebrated Aids Day, Children's
Day, Independence Day etc.

PAD's Computer Literacy Center

At PAD’s Computer Literacy Center, deaf teachers teaches deaf students using Sign Language. Here we teach office automation, Email + internet, presentation skills and graphics tools. A number of deaf students who learned I.T. courses at PAD got jobs in different

English Language Course

Since start PAD realized the importance of English Language and started providing the training of English language course to deaf students. After the emergence of communication tools (Email, SMS, instant messaging software) more and more deaf people became interested in English Language course, as this gave them freedom to communicate with worldwide deaf community. Moreover these latest communication tools are effectively utilized in English language.
